The Department of Environmental Engineering of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering invites experts to give lectures on professional construction

On the morning of March 29, the Department of Environmental Engineering of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering invited Professor Liu Yongdi from East China University of Science and Technology and Zhang Gangfeng, director of the Engineering Technology Center of Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences to give lectures on environmental engineering and course construction in our college. Mr. Feng Daolun, Dean of the College of Marine Science and Engineering, and some teachers from the Department of Environmental Engineering attended the lecture.

First of all, from the perspective of practical application and social demand, based on the background of socialist ecological civilization construction, Director Zhang Gangfeng sorted out the training program of environmental engineering undergraduates, and put forward valuable suggestions for training objectives, graduation requirements and curriculum Settings. Zhang suggested adding courses on environmental protection law, environmental damage assessment and pollution prevention during ship construction and maintenance.

Then, from the perspective of engineering education certification and professional teaching guidance, Professor Liu Yongdi also put forward valuable suggestions on the training objectives, graduation requirements and curriculum setting of undergraduate training programs. Professor Liu stressed that the training objectives should be highlighted, the graduation requirements should support the training objectives, and the curriculum should support the graduation requirements, which are interconnected and progressive. Liu also put forward some detailed suggestions, such as the expression of graduation requirements, the optimization of course names, the setting of core courses, and the requirements of engineering practice.

At last, the present teachers had an in-depth exchange with the two experts on relevant issues. Dean Feng expressed his gratitude to the two experts and said that their suggestions and opinions are very valuable. In the future, he will do a good job in the construction of the major and curriculum according to the suggestions of the experts.
