On March 25th, Ms. Ding Yi, the part-time faculty counselor of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering, gave special guidance on making resumes for students majoring in environment. At the same time, Ms. Ding also analyzed the current employment situation for students. By explaining the characteristics and advantages of Marine environment, she provided sufficient suggestions for the future development and academic planning of students majoring in environment. This activity was initiated and prepared by the First Party Group of the Party Branch of Environmental Students, College of Ocean Science and Engineering. Liang Xiaomeng, the leader of the First Party Group, delivered the activity arrangement of resume making competition and employment special guidance to all league branches of environmental major in advance through the communication channel jointly built by the Party and League, so that everyone could have enough time to prepare resumes. Ms. Ding provided detailed suggestions for students to improve their resumes, mainly focusing on the following aspects: (1) Personal professional expertise, academic advantages and skills should be shown in the resume. By participating in the course design, cognitive practice and school and enterprise visit and other practical links, the transformation of theoretical knowledge into practice and application can be promoted to improve the application ability of knowledge and prepare for the accumulation of practical experience for employment; (2) Show solid comprehensive strength in the resume, including English ability, computer ability, mathematical statistics analysis ability and scientific research ability, etc. I hope that you will pay attention to the cultivation and training of comprehensive ability during the university, constantly improve the structure of professional knowledge, from the discovery of key scientific problems, put forward your own views based on professional knowledge, and solve problems independently.
Mr. Ding also did employment mobilization and guidance for the participants. Mr. Ding told the participants that he hoped that after entering the university, you could make full use of your precious learning time, carry out solid and in-depth professional learning, and take part in discipline competitions, subject research and practical exploration. While consolidating your professional learning, you could enhance your practical and operational skills and lay a solid foundation for your internship and employment in the future.
