On March 22, in order to better implement the request of the Party Committee to contact the youth, the Youth League Committee of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering held a lunch exchange meeting with the Secretary and Dean, inviting the college leaders to communicate with the young students face to face. Wang Weiyi, Secretary of Party Committee, Dong Chaoqun, Deputy secretary and Liu Jiahao, deputy dean of the college had lunch with 10 freshmen from different majors. They had a discussion and exchange on topics such as course learning, major distribution and future planning.
At the lunch meeting, teachers and students were happy to talk freely. The three leaders kindly asked the students about the arrangement of accommodation, diet and study life during the school, listened carefully to the speeches of the students and affirmed the positive attitude of everyone concerned about the construction of the college. In the communication, the students expressed their opinions and ideas on the work, study and life of the students, and put forward many questions about professional prospects and difficulties in the course. The three leaders listened carefully to the questions raised by the students, and said that the college will do its best to meet the practical needs of students, and work together with students to build, develop and maintain the learning atmosphere of the college.
Finally, Secretary Wang Weiyi sent a message to the students: first, at the time of the new journey of life, they need to constantly work hard and have plans and ideals for the future; Second, encourage students to express their demands to the college and share their views. Thirdly, it is necessary to learn and comprehend the cultural and professional advantages of the college and devote ourselves to the construction of a maritime power.
The lunch exchange meeting between the College of Marine Science and Engineering and the Dean of the Secretary is the fundamental task of the college of Marine Science and Engineering to carry out moral education and cultivate people, adhere to the working method of the mass line, practice the concept of people-oriented, and actively set up a face-to-face interaction platform between young students and college leaders, aiming to further narrow the psychological distance between teachers and students. Establish a long-term mechanism to accurately serve the growth and development of students. On the one hand, it enables students to listen closely to the instruction and answer doubts, and participate in the college governance. On the other hand, it also enables college leaders to listen closely to the aspirations of young people and timely solve the actual needs of students.
