On March 8th, the Department of Marine Environment, College of Ocean Science and Engineering held a lecture on the writing skills of undergraduate thesis (design). The speaker was Ding Yi, a full-time teacher from the Department of Marine Environment. As an excellent undergraduate thesis advisor in the past, Mr. Ding gave detailed explanations and answers to the students from the aspects of thesis topic selection, condensed innovation points, explanation of key scientific issues, graduation thesis types and node arrangement, graduation thesis format and review, and observance of academic ethics. Mr. Ding told us: Graduation thesis (design) is an important way to test the results of four years of university study. It examines the flexible application ability of professional knowledge, trains the rigorous logical thinking of scientific research, exercises the writing level of scientific research papers, and improves the mathematical statistics and analytical calculation ability. High quality graduation thesis (design) is derived from keen academic insight, academic perception and academic innovation ability, combined with diligent research ability, to achieve academic research objectives, obtain high quality research products and research findings with important implications, and provide theoretical basis and data support for the development of the profession and discipline. To provide scientific basis for industry technology development and national science and technology innovation. It is hoped that in the future graduation thesis (design) development process, the students study diligently, inquiring, thinking forward, pioneering and innovative, strengthen the connection with the supervisor and the department, the output of high quality research results and papers.
