With friends, from the "heart" -- College of Ocean Science and Engineering launched the 2022 graduate students' mental health education theme activity

In order to further guide students to improve their ability to resolve emotional conflicts, relieve study pressure, and improve study and work efficiency, on the evening of November 30, 2022, College of Ocean Science and Engineering launched a mental health education themed activity of Starting from the Heart with Friends for Grade 2022 graduate students. This activity invited representatives of outstanding students in Grade two and grade three of graduate students to conduct peer psychological counseling. The counselor Xu Jie presided over the activity, and all the graduate students of Grade 2022 participated in the activity.




First of all, Wang Jianhua shared her insights from her research career, suggesting that students should discuss with their senior brothers and sisters more, read the relevant documents of graduation requirements carefully, make plans as soon as possible and meet the graduation requirements. She stressed the importance of mastering general skills during the postgraduate period, and introduced the current confusing graduation direction for freshmen, which provided many new ideas for their career planning.




Later, she answered the most frequently asked questions by freshmen about how to publish and read papers, and explained how to publish papers, suggestions on how to read different papers, and how to publish them. She also advised students to pay attention to how to publish papers. At the same time, she shared the difficulties she encountered in the process of learning and encouraged students to communicate with teachers and students when they have problems.




Finally, in view of the most concerned academic and academic problems at this stage, Mr. Liu Pengjie shared how to quickly and efficiently obtain high-quality papers and intensive reading methods in scientific research. As for the most difficult problem, that is, how to complete a paper, the senior provided many research ideas for the paper, suggesting that the freshmen should read the literature extensively and have enough basic knowledge reserve.




Peer counseling, as an important supplement to college students' mental health education system, plays a positive role in the process of psychological crisis intervention in colleges and universities. This activity is close to the life of graduate students. It provides ideas to solve problems for graduate students under high pressure, guides them to establish a positive and healthy attitude, further enhances their interpersonal communication skills, encourages students to bravely express their aspirations, take the initiative to care for and help others, narrates the spiritual distance between each other, and creates a positive and harmonious campus atmosphere.
