In order to help students understand the current employment situation, further guide students to clarify their development goals and do a good job in four-year academic planning, on the evening of November 13th, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering Class 2021 carried out an educational activity themed on academic planning. The meeting was presided over by the instructor Sun Hanfen and delivered by the part-time instructor Ba Guangzhong. All the students of Grade 21 participated in the activity.

At the meeting, Mr. Ba Guangzhong first analyzed the employment quality Report of 2021 graduates for the students, and made a detailed explanation of graduates' postgraduate entrance examination and overseas study, the flow of employment industry and the current situation of choosing a career. Then, Mr. Ba proposed four years' study suggestions from three aspects: What to learn in college, establishing goals and making plans. In the first year, we should learn a lot about industry, read a lot of books, enrich ourselves, and find out the knowledge fields that we are interested in; In the second year of college, I should learn all my professional knowledge and take an active part in scientific innovation competitions to lay a solid foundation for future employment. In the third year, we should choose a career, actively participate in social practice activities related to our major, and make clear the direction of employment, postgraduate entrance examination and study abroad. In my senior year, I completed my graduation thesis and participated in my graduation practice. In the end, Ms. Ba encouraged students to continuously consolidate basic knowledge, cultivate comprehensive ability, integrate academic planning with career development planning, and improve their self-cultivation and employment competitiveness.

This online themed education activity helps students to further understand and determine their future employment direction, make academic planning for the sophomore year, strengthen students' recognition of their major and industry, and promote students' academic development and employment planning.
