On the afternoon of October 28, the Student Affairs Office of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering organized a student work and business learning exchange meeting in Conference Room 408, which was an in-depth study of Shanghai Maritime University Undergraduate Student Scholarship Selection Method and Shanghai Maritime University Students from Poor Families Identification Method. Dong Chaoqun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College and all counselors attended the meeting. This business study is led by instructor Huang Yin.
Ms. Huang Yin introduced in detail the selection process of student scholarship, the evaluation process of the identification of students from poor families, the selection objects, identification requirements and points for attention in the selection, and shared the work experience and feelings through typical cases.
Dong Chaoqun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, focused on the growth and development of counselors, emphasizing that counselors should learn more and ask more questions, learn excellent experiences and practices, and then carry out student work based on their own personality characteristics and advantages, and pay attention to summary and concise. Second, we should master the feeling and law of work, fast and slow, strengthen the communication with students, take the education as the orientation, with warm heart, love, careful in-depth understanding and service students, timely awareness of the dynamics of students, and always practice the original aspiration and mission of students.
The student and engineering business learning Exchange meeting set up a platform for the college counselors to communicate and improve their professional ability, further enhanced the combat effectiveness and cohesion of the counselor team, and played a positive role in clarifying their responsibilities and improving their professional ability, as well as being the guide for the growth of students and the dream builders of youth.
