Recently, experts were invited by Shanghai Full Penetration Deep Offshore Energy Source Power Frontier Science Research Base to hold two lectures, titled Application of mathematical model of strong nonlinear free Surface Flow based on SPH method and Study on Local scour of inclined Pile under the Action of Wave and current respectively. More than 150 persons in charge of relevant functional departments, colleges, research bases and graduate students attended the conference.
Professor Ren Bing from Dalian University of Technology gave a talk entitled Application of Mathematical Model of strong nonlinear Free Surface Flow Based on SPH method. Based on the SPH method, a mathematical model is established to simulate the interaction between nonlinear waves and structures. The calculation method of particle pressure at the boundary is improved. The non-reflective wave-making boundary conditions, periodic side boundary conditions and artificial viscous wave-elimination boundary conditions suitable for SPH method are proposed. The periodic wave numerical wave tank/pool based on SPH method is established. The mathematical model is used to simulate the interaction between waves and floating bodies, the propagation and deformation of waves in the permeable structure, and the stability of the discrete shield block under the action of waves.
Professor Cheng Yongzhou of Changsha University of Science and Technology gave a report entitled Study on Local scour of Inclined Pile under the Action of wave and current. Based on the physical model test, the change characteristics of the foundation of the flow field around the inclined pile, the local scour characteristics, the mechanism and the prediction method of the depth were discussed from various angles. The variation of sand bed morphology between different inclined piles and vertical piles is summarized. The relevant results can provide some reference for the future design of inclined pile, bearing capacity evaluation and the exploration prospect of the corresponding direction.
In the interactive session, the two professors expressed their opinions on the relevant issues raised by the participants, and had a warm and extensive exchange and discussion with Professor Zhang Hongsheng of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering and the teachers and students present, especially the scientific research and technical personnel in the engineering field.
