Abstract: Liquid tank sloshing is a key factor for the safe operation and maintenance of liquid storage structures such as large liquid cargo ships, oil or liquefied natural gas storage tanks, spacecraft fuel tanks, and large fishing tanks on aquaculture ships.

Based on the principle of seeking advantages and avoiding disadvantages, centering on the two key scientific issues of tank rocking control and utilization mechanism, this report will focus on the development of 3D numerical model and test technology of tank rocking, tank rocking characteristics and damping mechanism, and the damping and damping mechanism of tuned liquid dampers on Marine structures.


Expert Profile: Xue Mian 'an, doctor of Sichuan University, professor of Hohai University, doctoral supervisor, Secretary of Party Branch of Marine Engineering Equipment Institute, principal of ship and ocean engineering, winner of National Young Talent Program, mainly engaged in the study of ocean engineering hydrodynamics, such as tank rocking and control utilization mechanism.

He has presided over 15 projects of National Natural Science Foundation, national talent project and technical service project, and published 1 monograph.

He has published 55 journal papers on Marine Structures, Ocean Engineering, Computers & Fluids and Nonlinear Dynamics and obtained 17 Chinese patents (1 has been converted).

It has won the second prize of Science and technology research achievement (natural science) of colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province (1/5), the second prize of Ocean Engineering Science and Technology (4/9), and the first prize of Water conservancy teaching Achievement of colleges and universities (6/8).

He is also an editorial board member or guest editor of six academic journals, including the Journal of Hydrodynamics.
