Recently, the 2022 International Conference on Corrosion Protection and Application hosted by European Corrosion Union, Sichuan Association for Science and Technology, Chongqing Association for Science and Technology, and China Corrosion and Protection Society was held in Chengdu.
Meng Daqiao, an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Wu Kenlightened, a foreign academician of Russian Academy of Engineering, were invited to attend the ceremony.
Pan Fusheng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Chongqing Association for Science and Technology, and Jorg A.Voelsang, President of European Corrosion Union, delivered a video address.
The conference in order to focus on carbon peak carbon neutral, promote environmental fate community building as the theme, aims to explore double carbon problem, the corrosion protection of the environment and application for the domestic and foreign relevant scholars and industry leaders to build display, communication, communication platform and strengthen the international technology exchange, information sharing, seek cooperation opportunities, jointly cope with the challenge of corrosion problems,
To promote the innovation and development of corrosion and protection disciplines at home and abroad.
The conference is jointly organized by Shanghai Maritime University, Service Center of Sichuan Association for Science and Technology, Southwest Institute of Technology and Engineering, Southwest Petroleum University, Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other units.
Professor Dong Lihua of our Institute served as the vice chairman of the conference, and Professor Liu Tao served as the domestic convenor of the Sub-forum on Corrosion and protection of Marine Materials. More than 300 well-known experts and scholars from home and abroad engaged in corrosion and protection attended the conference online and offline.
