On the morning of August 8, the Shanghai Summer School for graduate students of Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering officially opened, and the opening ceremony was held online.
Wu Huafeng, Vice Dean of Graduate School of Shanghai Maritime University, and Shi Danda, Dean of School of Ocean Science and Engineering attended the opening ceremony. Teachers of School of Ocean Science and Engineering and all summer school students attended the ceremony. Professor Li Yunbo presided over the ceremony.
Vice President Wu Huafeng first delivered a welcome speech. He introduced the advantages and characteristics of discipline and postgraduate education of Shanghai Maritime University, and encouraged the students to cherish the unique learning and exchange platform of summer school, and work together to contribute their talents to the development of shipbuilding and ocean engineering in China.
Later, Dean Shi Danda introduced the faculty, disciplines and majors of the School of Marine Science and Engineering of Shanghai Maritime University. He said that the school adheres to give full play to its own characteristics and advantages, and focuses on serving the needs of society, so as to provide high-level Marine professionals for transportation power and ocean power.
Finally, introduced professor li yunbo ship and ocean engineering graduate student of Shanghai maritime university summer school and the requirements of the relevant hope students cherish the opportunity to learn, think hard, speaks enthusiastically, actively involved in the interaction, and to learn it, use it, for our country Marine engineering, ocean development, national defense construction, ocean power contribution wisdom and strength.
The summer school lasts for 12 days and contains 24 lectures related to Marine and Marine engineering.
Affected by the epidemic, the summer school continued to adopt the online teaching mode, with more than 150 students from many universities and enterprises participating.
This summer school is not only a gathering of young people, but also a grand gathering of knowledge collision, aiming to broaden the academic horizon in the field, improve the research and innovation ability of scholars, and strengthen academic exchanges between schools.
The 2022 Shanghai Summer School for Graduate Students of Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering is sponsored by Shanghai Academic Degrees Committee and organized by Shanghai University.
