Two master's dissertations of the School of Marine Science and Engineering were awarded "The Third National Excellent Postgraduate Dissertations of Hydraulic Engineering"

On March 10, 2022, China Association for Water Conservancy Education announced the results of the third Round of Excellent Postgraduate dissertations in Water Conservancy major. Degree thesis Experimental Study and Quantitative Analysis of Macro and Micro Mechanical Properties of Solidified Calcareous Sand in South China Sea by Yang Shuai, Master of Hydraulic Engineering (2017), College of Marine Science and Engineering, Zheng Yinggang, Master of Hydraulic Engineering (2017) His dissertation Detection of Ocean Internal Waves based on Synthetic Aperture Radar Image was selected as outstanding academic master's thesis and outstanding Professional master's thesis respectively. This excellent dissertation of water conservancy has won the national honor again since the graduate students of water conservancy Engineering in our university won the 5th National Master of Engineering Practice Outstanding Achievement Winner (Xie Wenyuan, 2016 professional master).


The selection of National Excellent Postgraduate Dissertations of Water conservancy Specialty aims to strengthen the cultivation of high-level talents of water conservancy specialty in colleges and universities, stimulate the spirit of innovation, and improve the quality of postgraduate dissertations of water conservancy specialty. A total of 10 doctoral dissertations, 30 academic master's dissertations and 20 professional master's dissertations were awarded as Excellent Postgraduate dissertations of Water Conservancy In National Universities and colleges.


In recent years, the School attaches great importance to the quality of postgraduate dissertations, strengthens process control, improves the level of dissertations, and strengthens application orientation based on professional practice to serve the needs of the society. The College will continue to strengthen the training of high-level top-notch talents, further improve the quality of postgraduate training, and promote the reform and development of high-level innovative talents training in water conservancy major.
