In order to promote the exchange between new and old students, guide freshmen to find the right learning direction and adapt to university life faster and better, the college of ocean science and engineering held an exchange Symposium for new and old students of various majors on the afternoon of October 27. All undergraduate students of grade 2021 participated in the exchange meeting.

The exchange meeting consists of experience sharing and question answering. In the experience sharing session, the seniors and sisters introduced the general situation of each major to the freshmen in humorous language, shared learning methods, talked about their harvest and growth since entering school, and encouraged the freshmen to be proactive, constantly expand their horizons, give full play to their potential in different fields and comprehensively improve their abilities in all aspects.

In the question and answer session, 2021 undergraduate freshmen asked questions on the types of competitions, awards and grants, the improvement of academic level and ability, and how to quickly adapt to life, so as to make reasonable planning and adequate preparations for their future study and life. The old students also answered the questions in detail.

The exchange meeting not only provides a communication platform for new and old students, but also makes freshmen feel the fraternity and warmth of the big family of the Academy of Marine Sciences. It also makes freshmen have a clear positioning and goal for their study and life, and encourages them to make unremitting efforts to become excellent college students with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, artistic and labor comprehensive quality!
