On November 27, the 2021 Postgraduate Academic Forum on marine and coastal urban security was held in the University. More than 180 graduate students from Tongji University, East China University of technology, Shanghai University of technology, Shanghai University of applied technology, Shanghai Institute of ship transportation science, Shanghai Fire Research Institute of emergency management department and other colleges and institutions contributed and participated in the meeting.
The forum was supported by the construction project of high-level local colleges and universities in Shanghai, which aims to promote the exchange and cooperation between the school safety science and engineering and related disciplines and domestic peers, and promote the construction and development of the first-class disciplines of school safety science and engineering. Five experts from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Shanghai Fire Research Institute of emergency management department, Shanghai Institute of rules of China Classification Society and Shanghai Maritime University were invited to make special academic reports online and offline, and communicate with on-site graduate students.
In 2021, the graduate academic forum of marine and coastal urban safety was hosted by the Graduate School of the University and jointly undertaken by the college of ocean science and engineering, the degree committee of safety science and engineering and Liu Qian Safety Science Library. Relevant functional departments of the University, principals of the college, teachers of the College of marine science and engineering and experts from many universities and institutions attended the forum.
