On the afternoon of November 26, Liu Jie, director of the scientific research department of Shanghai estuarine and Coastal Science Research Center, and his party were invited to the College of college science and engineering to give an expert lecture entitled the development process of the Yangtze River Estuary Channel and Shanghai Port, and had an exchange discussion with the degree program of hydraulic engineering of the college to discuss the cooperation in building a Key Laboratory of estuarine and coastal transportation industry.
The expert lecture was presided over by Professor Wang Xiaohui, head of the degree program of hydraulic engineering and director of the Department of port and shipping, with the participation of some teachers of the degree program and 21st students of the Department of port and shipping. In the lecture, director Liu Jie gave a vivid and detailed introduction to the concept of port and waterway engineering, combed and reviewed the development history of Shanghai port, looked forward to the development trend of port and waterway, and conducted Q & A interaction with teachers and students. Director Liu Jie's lecture is rich in both pictures and texts, combined with practical cases, so that the present teachers and students have a more intuitive and profound understanding of port and waterway engineering.
After the lecture, director Liu Jie and his party had an exchange and discussion with Professor Wang Xiaohui and other teachers of the Department of port and shipping. Director Liu Jie said that the Shanghai estuarine and Coastal Research Center and the college of ocean science and engineering signed a cooperation framework agreement in 2017, and have been closely linked in academic exchanges and joint training. This time, he hopes to further build a key laboratory platform for the estuarine and coastal transportation industry and jointly promote the improvement of the academic level of both sides. Mr. Wang Xiaohui said that the two sides can carry out specific cooperation in many aspects such as Branch Co Construction and academic exchanges. In the follow-up, the two sides will further refine the cooperation framework and deepen the implementation of co construction and cooperation.
