Recently, there has been a high incidence of Telecom fraud cases in our university. In order to enhance the students' safety awareness and improve their prevention ability, at 18:15 on November 7, Niu Lei, a 2020 counselor of the school of ocean science and engineering, led all the 2020 students of Haike to carry out the fifth theme education in the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year - keeping in mind the awareness of fraud prevention in the State Construction lecture hall.
Counselors pointed out that telecommunications fraud is a form of crime with low investment, fast spread and great harm. Due to its various forms, college students are often deceived. This theme education includes various common forms of fraud and comprehensively explains the induction mechanism of Telecom fraud. Counselor Niu Lei takes the real story of his own experience of Telecom fraud as a warning in combination with actual fraud cases to remind students to remain vigilant, effectively identify and avoid fraud events, and improve their self-defense awareness. If they are unfortunately deceived, Remedial measures should also be taken in time.
Through this theme education, students have a deeper understanding of the forms of Telecom fraud, have a more serious understanding of the necessity of identifying and preventing Telecom fraud, raise their vigilance, do not believe or transfer money, avoid property losses and contribute to campus security.
