On June 9, 2021, College of Marine Science and Engineering held a report on the achievements of the class of 2021 outstanding graduates, to send treasure to the junior students. The activity was hosted by Mr. He Haibo, and 5 outstanding graduates from different majors in Shanghai were invited: Tang Haiyan was recommended to Donghua University for environmental engineering; Liang Yizhen was recommended to Beijing Institute of Technology for safety engineering; Yan Jianrui was recommended to CSSC Huangpu Wenchong for shipbuilding and ocean engineering; Ran Baichuan was admitted to East China Normal University for port, waterway and coastal engineering; and Pan Xiang was admitted to University of Science and Technology of China for materials science and engineering.
Graduates combined with their own university experience, postgraduate experience, job-hunting harvest and other aspects of the students to share a lot of good advice. Ran Baichuan served as the president of the Student Union. He focused on his four-year college plan and told how he balanced his study and work to improve himself in the busy and fulfilling college life. Finally, he shared his mind about the entrance examination for postgraduate study. Tang Haiyan focused on sharing her scientific innovation experience and experience, how to put what she has learned into practice, squeezed out spare time to do a good job in the scientific innovation competition, and made work plans according to the priority level and strong executive power, so as to realize the benign interaction between professional learning and professional innovation. Liang Yizhen shared her experience of postgraduate guarantee, how to make an excellent resume, focusing on daily accumulation, and having a clear plan for the future. She was good at obtaining information for her university growth, and she shared her information channels without any reserve. Yan started with the question Is it necessary to stay up late when it is not necessary?, pointing out the importance of good work and rest habits in college life. He introduced his experience in the science and innovation competition in detail, and encouraged the students to broaden their horizons. Pan Xiang shared his goal of going out of his comfort zone to set goals for himself and improve himself. He focused on his method of final review: combing the teacher's presentation from the beginning to understand every detail. If you do good things, don't ask about your future, he said, and he would eventually reap the results he was satisfied with.
After the report, the students benefited a lot and seized the opportunity to join the senior senior WeChat for in-depth communication. The report points out the direction for the students in confusion, and follows the example of the outstanding graduates to take a down-to-earth approach and brave the wind and waves to meet all the unknown challenges.
