On June 8, 2021, China Society for Corrosion and Protection (CSPC) determined the list of individual achievement award winners after recommendation and nomination, discussion by expert committee and secret ballot, and deliberation by the standing council according to the CSPC Scientific and Technological Award Management Measures. Professor Chang Xueting was awarded the Outstanding Young Academic Achievement Award of the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection.

The award is intended to further implement the jinping new age the ideas of socialism with Chinese characteristics, fully implement the party's spirit of the fifth plenary session of the nineteenth, firmly implement the strategy of developing the country by relying on science and education, the strategy of reinvigorating China through human resource development and the innovation driven development strategy, recognition and reward for corrosion and protection in our country science and technology progress to make outstanding contributions in the field of science and technology personnel.

Professor Chang Xueting has been engaged in the teaching and research of new polar materials, the attachment mechanism of Marine microorganisms, and the failure and protection of Marine materials for a long time. She insists on cultivating people with moral principles and staying true to her original mission, and always takes it as her own responsibility to cultivate outstanding talents in Marine materials. At present, he has presided over 9 projects of National Key Research and Development Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Natural Science Foundation and so on. He has published 68 SCI indexed papers, including 18 papers in the first region, and 1 paper with high ESI citation, which was cited for 1570 times with an H index of 22. He has obtained 2 monographs supported by the National Science and Technology Academic Publications Fund. He has won the Nautical Youth Science and Technology Award of China Nautical Society (2020), Shanghai Dawn Plan (2019), Shanghai Top Young Talents (2018), Shanghai Ocean Science and Technology Award Young Talent Award (2018), Shanghai Pudong New Area March 8th Red Banner Leader (2017) and other awards and honors.
