Disaster Escape and Emergency Self-Rescue -- May Safety Theme Education in College of Ocean Science and Engineering

From 17:30 to 18:00 on May 16th, Haike College of Science and Engineering held a safety education themed Disaster Escape and Emergency Self-Help in Bangjian Lecture Hall according to the general arrangement of the school's Security Department. The school counselor Niu Lei gave a lecture.

The theme education content is divided into two sections, natural disasters and first aid knowledge, and public safety disasters and coping methods. In terms of natural disasters, instructor Niu Lei elaborated on the characteristics of natural disasters such as earthquake, flood, lightning, mudslide and other natural disasters with the combination of relevant professional knowledge on first aid and escape. In terms of public safety disasters, counselors explained how to prevent and avoid stampedes. In addition, the counselors added a wealth of information on how to deal with stories of terrorist attacks, gun battles, chemical weapons attacks and kidnappings.

Through the study of the theme education content, the students learned about the types, characteristics and harmfulness of natural disasters and public safety disasters, which enhanced their safety awareness in life. At the same time, through the professional knowledge and personal experience brought by the counselors, I learned more methods of disaster escape and first aid and mastered them to cope with unexpected disasters.
