On April 22, Elsevier, a global information analysis company, officially released the list of China's 2020 Most Cited Scholars. Three scholars from Shanghai Maritime University were selected as China's 2020 Most Cited Scholars.
Professor Yin Yansheng of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering has been included in the list for three consecutive years with 468 papers published (6,044 citation times in total). In 2018 and 2019, Professor Yin was selected as an expert in the field of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. This year is the first time that Professor Yin was selected as a highly cited scholar in the field of Transportation Engineering, which reflects Professor Yin's strong academic accumulation and achievements in the two fields.
The list uses Scopus, the world's authoritative citation and index database, as the data source of scientific research achievements of Chinese scholars. A selection method designed by Shanghai Renke Education Information Consulting Co., Ltd., is adopted. A total of 4,023 Chinese scholars from 373 universities, enterprises and research institutions with the most global influence in various disciplines were identified.
