In the wave of 5G, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, quantum computing and other technological waves, engineering brain has gradually become the forefront of the field of civil new infrastructure. Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, Huawei, iFlytek, Didi, JD.com and other dozens of high-tech enterprises have laid out their own brain-like platforms in the field of urban construction and management. This report will elaborate on the origin, theoretical basis, technical system and cutting-edge applications of Engineering Brain from two dimensions of engineering and science, and put forward the top-level paradigm for the construction of Engineering Brain on this basis.

Brief introduction of the speaker:

Prof. Xiangyu Wang, PhD supervisor, academician of the European Academy of Sciences, global research leader in the field of new infrastructure, the most productive BIM scholar (the first in the world), who first proposed the concept and knowledge system of engineering brain. Director of the Australia-Asia Joint Research Centre for BIM; Professor for Life, Curtin University, Australia; Professor, School of Civil Engineering, Tongji University; Former Chief Scientist, Woodside; Founder and former President of Catrina, Confederation of Australian Industry. He has presided over more than 80 projects at home and abroad and received more than AUD 30 million (150 million yuan) in research funding. He has published nearly 400 SCI/SSCI papers (nearly 100 papers from the First Region of the Chinese Academy of Sciences), among which 10 papers with high ESI citation are accumulated over the years, cited for more than 10,000 times, and H-index is close to 60. He has served as an academic editorial board member for several journals and is currently the lead editor of Visualization in Engineering, an international journal. Founding Member, GSTIF Council of Global Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation.
