Advanced ceramics have excellent properties such as high strength, high hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and have become irreplaceable key materials to support national defense construction and national economic development. In recent years, ultra-long, ultra-thick and complex shape ceramic components are urgently needed in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and high-end application fields such as national defense and security, and the traditional preparation process of cash ceramics is facing severe challenges.

Molding is the initial step of the preparation of cash ceramics. It not only determines the microstructure of ceramic parts, but also determines their properties. It also directly affects the production cost. Since 2003, the project team began to explore new wet curing systems, and successively invented epoxy-polyamine (E-A) gel system based on nucleophilic addition polymerization reaction and PIBM spontaneous solidification molding system. Excellent technical leader in Shanghai, enterprise entrusted, the national natural science foundation of China, national key research and development plan and STS successively, with support of the project such as project of Chinese Academy of Sciences formulated in situ curing mechanism, developing the universality and large size preparation technology, research results has transformed transfer, created good social and economic benefits.

Brief introduction of the speaker:

Wang Shiwei, a researcher, has carried out research on transparent ceramics, luminescence and new ceramic molding methods based on the inheritance of carbon-quartz composites and high thermal conductivity aluminum nitride ceramics. Four innovative achievements have been achieved (optical axis preferred orientation transparent alumina, gel curing system based on nucleophilic addition polymerization reaction,PIBM new gel curing system and oxide system up-conversion luminescence). Adhering to the concept of research and application and cooperating with enterprises, four achievements have been successfully transformed (five-piece and integrated translucent alumina tube, foam alumina and translucent alumina sheet); Two project achievements won the second prize at the ministerial level. More than 120 SCI papers have been published, 40 Chinese invention patents have been declared and 20 have been authorized. He was awarded the honorary title of Outstanding Manned Spaceflight Worker of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2004). He was awarded the 21st century personal exchange title award of Japan Ceramic Society, Iguki Xiaoshan Award (2005), the Nanhu Top 100 professional technology leader award of Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province (2009), the second prize of Shanghai technical invention (2011), etc.
