Report of glass, crystal and transparent ceramics were compared, this paper introduces the characteristics and development of transparent ceramics, and the research team at the center of the transparency of the Shanghai institute of ceramics, on the basis of the main research work progress to the whole preparation process of transparent ceramics, ceramic powder, microstructure control, molding, sintering, focus on the preparation of transparent ceramics technology and its application field. Finally, the research results, application technology development and industrialization of transparent ceramics in the past ten years are reported, and the development trend of transparent ceramics in the future is summarized.

Brief introduction of the speaker:

Zhou Guohong, born in August 1974, is a research fellow and doctoral supervisor. He graduated from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007. He is mainly engaged in the preparation, structural design and application research of structural ceramics and ceramic matrix composites, basic research and key technology development of transparent ceramics. In the field of structural ceramics and ceramic matrix composites, it has undertaken a number of important research projects, and has been successfully applied in a number of models in China's aerospace field. At the same time, it has undertaken the Natural Science Youth and General Fund, 863 Project, CAS A/B Strategic Pilot Science and Technology Special Project New Technology of Lighting, Anticorrosion and Lubrication, and Development of Window Material for Whole Sea-Deep Video System. In 2017, he was responsible for the sub-project of Key Technology for High-efficiency and Precision Manufacturing of High-performance Ceramic Parts of the National Key Research and Development Program. In 2018, he was the chief scientist in charge of the National Key Research and Development Program Full Sea-Deep Cameras Lens Protection Cover. Relevant research results have been published in more than 90 papers in foreign journals, 24 patents have been authorized, and 1 standard and 2 standard have been issued.
