On December 22, 2019, Mr. Yang Fangmei, a counselor from the School of Marine Science and Engineering, conducted a mental health education on the theme of “correct understanding of procrastination” for Haike's 2018 students in the State Construction Lecture Hall.
First of all, Mr. Yang combined with rich life examples and told everyone that to correctly understand "procrastination", it may reflect different psychological problems. Teacher Yang analyzed five common causes of procrastination, including distraction, escape from stress, failure to fear, and miscalculation of the future. Finally, Mr. Yang gave students some suggestions on how to solve the problem of procrastination, such as setting small goals, establishing the concept of time, rewarding progress, and preparing mentally early. I hope that everyone can understand themselves through the popularization of psychological knowledge, choose a suitable perspective, find the motivation for themselves, and formulate appropriate plans and goals.
