On the morning of December 20, 2017, the ceremony for professor Fu Gui of China university of mining and technology (Beijing) to appoint a visiting professor of Shanghai maritime university and the unveiling ceremony of accident prevention scientific research center was held in room 408 of school of Marine science and engineering. Shi Xin, vice President of our school, professor Chen Weijiong, secretary of the party committee of the school of ocean science and engineering, department head of the school of ocean science and engineering, professional teachers and representatives of graduate students attended the appointment ceremony and the opening ceremony.The ceremony was presided over by secretary Chen Weijiong of college of Marine science and engineering.
Secretary Chen weijiong of the school of Marine science and engineering welcomed professor fu GUI and introduced his experience and academic achievements. ShiXin vice President in his speech, professor Fu Gui in Shanghai maritime university features a maritime and logistics, shipping, ocean Marine safety, environmental protection, in three major disciplinary groups thank's contribution in the intelligence system, congratulations on the establishment of the accident prevention centre for scientific research, hope to be able to further in the discipline construction, personnel training, etc further cooperation. Professor Fu Gui congratulated the establishment of the accident prevention science research center in Shanghai maritime university, and explained that accident cause theory is the most important theoretical basis of safety science and the significance of the establishment of the research center. During the appointment ceremony, vice President Shi Xin presented professor Fu Gui with the appointment letter of visiting professor and the badge of Shanghai maritime university. Then, vice President Shi Xin and professor Fu Gui jointly unveiled the red heart of the accident prevention scientific research center.
After the ceremony, professor Fu Gui had an in-depth exchange of views with the head of the school, the director of the safety engineering major, the teachers and representatives of the graduate students.
